AgFuture Young & Beginning Loan Program
Western AgCredit’s commitment to young, beginning and small farmers and ranchers includes loan programs with modified lending standards customized to meet their unique needs. The purpose of this program is to offer allowances that make it possible to extend constructive, competitive credit to young, beginning and smaller farmers and ranchers for any ag-related purpose.
Program Details and Eligibility
To be eligible for these modifications, applicants must meet the definition of either a young (35 or younger) or beginning (10 or less years of farming/ranching experience) farmer or rancher.
Modified lending standards for young and beginning operators could include allowance for a lower repayment capacity, higher loan to collateral ratios or a higher leverage ratio than traditional customers, among other things. Applicants must demonstrate strong financial and production management skills.
